The Collector's Office collects, disburses, and accounts for over $24 million annually. It is the responsibility of the collector to collect current and delinquent taxes for various taxing entities throughout the county.
Mon thru Fri. 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00
The Ray County Collector downloads paid personal property tax information to the Department of Revenue. This allows taxpayers to renew license plates on-line and the fee agent office to access the information when renewing in person. To renew license online, you must enter your name as it appears on your tax receipt.
If you would like to sign up to make quarterly real estate installments, please contact the office. Payments are due in March, June and September. Your balance due will be mailed to you in late October/early November and due by December 31st. No installments will be accepted after September 30th. If full payment is not received by the due date, penalty and interest will be charged on the entire tax amount.
